What kind of shop are we?
We really want you to have fun every time out. To have the kind of days where you say to self “Man I love this sport…”.
We don’t try to be everything to everybody. Our merchandise mix is based on what our customer base buys. We pick only the best products from the best brands and we only sell snowboard equipment. No skis (but we do tune them), no ski boards, no snow bikes. We’ve been tempted to get into telemark or some of the new alpine skis, but decided to stay true and focued on snowboard only.
We are not corporate owned, but owned by Brian. So we don’t have sales that start when it’s mountain bike season, and last thru spring – ever open the paper and see “oh geez, sports authority/colorado ski and golf is having a sale”. Does anyone else think it’s weird to have huge blowout sales on equipment that you can’t ride for another 2 months? Did the seller overbuy last year? Are the products blemished or compromised in quality in any other way? Who are you buying from and do they have the skills to set up you equipment correctly? What do golfers know about snowboarding anyway?
We have lot’s of mountain bike racers that work here. They like to go fast, and they like their equipment to be setup and work well. Guess what? They love to ride snowboards in the winter. The shop purchases season passes for key employees, so they can continue to product test, and ride with our customers.
We are fanatics about ride quality. That is why we attend the on snow demo and ride what we sell. We also ride what we don’t sell, to know the pro’s and con’s of every model. Brian has even been caught riding women’s boards (burton feather, troop, feelgood, Arbor push, etc). This isn’t because he’s weird, it’s because we want to understand how every board we carry passes our ride quality test. We don’t believe in “shrink and pink” but that women’s equipment should be designed specifically from the ground up for ladies figures, weight, foot size, and riding style. All the womens equipment and outerwear is purposed designed. (Burton and Flux binders, 32 and burton boots)
We understand and help you setup your bindings correctly. We’ll take the time to teach you all the features of the binders. Flux and Burton bindings this year are coming with adjustable asym highbacks, for specific park or freeride use. Toe straps this year on more models have convertible toe straps that work over the top of your foot, or
We are fanatics about fit. We acquired a new industrial boot heater (thanks john!) to help get boot fits done better. Brian has 12 years of boot fit experience, Justin 8 years, and Doug 5 years. Our philosophy is that your boots are the least talked about for performance, but can make a huge difference in ride quality, performance, and comfort. Very few shops will spend the time with you to get a boot fit done completely and correctly. Boot fits with a boot purchase are complimentary, and any other boot fits are done by appointment, and costs $40 plus any materials.
If you have enjoyed our service on bicycles, why not let us tune your snowboard or skis too? We possess a grind rite grinder and only use one ball jay waxes – they work the best.
We tune snowboards and skis too!
We also provide repair for the following services for snowboards and skis
-core shots – p tex repair and replacement
-edge sharpening

Why did we pick the brands we carry?
Burton – Fit and finish. Even down to their $300 snowboards, world class construction and ride quality. You just can’t go wrong with a burton snowboard. This year we are carrying the Custom, the Seven for guys. Troop, and Feather for the ladies. All of the lasts on the boots are improved again, and so it the heat moldable liner. Bindings offer better performance, and lower pricing. We bought for you a great assortment of outerwear this year, and focused a lot more of the buy to ladies burton wear.
Arbor –
Bob at arbor has always done a great job. Check out the element in bamboo finish this year. Pimp. In the past Arbor has been kind of a cruiser board – not ill mannered in any situation in Colorado. Well, since hiring Mike Basich a couple years ago, ferrarri like handling is now accompanying that classic Koa and Bamboo finish. These boards are snappy and really fun to ride. PS – check out the women’s bamboo shirts – T shirts and long sleeves where the fabric is bamboo. Yes, pulverized and woven bamboo. Very comfy, mmmmmmmmm……
Rome – Have you ridden a rome lately? Rome has solid construction and is seriously fun to ride. Definitely a company with some momentum. Rome rolls just like we do, long lasting and good performance. We are carrying gloves, bindings (in low qty), and some soft goods. Check out the I ride sunglasses. Pimp.
Flux – Is a small and upcoming brand of snowboard bindings – Yep, that’s all they do. Just bindings. You’ll find the quality is outstanding with very tight tolerances. Features also include some of the best customizing of any bindings, as well as some great fashion forward color schemes.
32 – These boots are the cousins of skate shoes. Yah, you know same company as etnies. Skate shoes are comfy and have lots of durability. 32 boots have this along with 100% heat moldable liners for that custom fit. Comfort and durability. Just like The SingleTrack Factory.
686 Clothing – Innovation, warmth and quality. That sums up 686 for us. Smarty jackets and pants have become a Colorado standard. Keeping warm, dry, but not overheated is key to enjoyment.
Wax by One Ball Jay – Simply the best wax we have found – You can routinely pass skiers on your board with this wax. It’s all we use in the shop for your tune-ups.
Celsius Boots – Simply the best boots we have found!
