For 2008, the SingleTrack Factory will be sponsoring a Gravity team consisting of a Race Team, and a Race club. We have purchased a Pace American trailer, that will be appearing at G3 and Moutain States Cup races. Look for us at the races, and the trailheads on Thursday evenings for demos.
We will be actively growing the race club, which experienced or beginning racers can fill out application, Receive 10% off any new Gravity bike from Yeti, Rocky Mountain, and from Intense. Some of our brands have stepped up and offered additional benefits and special pricing. Please consult us in the store for specifics as these offers are dynamic.
Other benefits include – $25 Dh club SingleTrack Factory team jersey ($95 value - while supplies last) and a unique service offer for bikes that have been raced on the weekend and need to be serviced for the next practice or race. The program works as follows – All gravity bikes checked in by Monday, out by Thursday.
XC race team
For 2008 The SingleTrack Factory (STF) will again be corporate sponsor for the 2008 Winter Park Race Series. We want to thank our racers for this years efforts – we represented well.
The highlights for 2007 were:
- Steve Stanton – 3rd place overall sport xc 45-49 (Steve has a full time traveling job)
- Bill Gauditz – 3rd place overall sport 60+ (Bill has a full time job)
- Pete Lawson – 6th place overall expert 50+
- Jared Berg – 1st place hillclimb
- John Rienstra – 3rd place hillclimb (John has a full time job)
- Rich Digeronimo – 19th overall, 1st year expert mens 30+ (rich also has a full time job), Plus smoking fast Leadville 100 sub 10 hour
- Joe Berg and Kevin Curtis - 17th best men’s team in Transrockies, 4th best American team (More full time job holders)
- Joe Berg – first place at Laramie 100
- Joe Hanrahan – Semi Pro – 5th place at Sol Vista G3, 5th place at Keystone G3

SingleTrack Factory would like to invite you guys to encourage more membership riders, we are developing a community so we are changing the website to be more inviting for everyone to participate in. Kits (short and jerseys) will be done again this year, sponsor – STF. – all team members are encouraged to seek additional sponsors for the team if you know of anyone interested in helping for gas money.
STF XC team benefits –
Of course, we met because you were all good customers first. Now, it’s my turn to give back to you. For 2008 all active (5 races completed in 2007) team members will receive 15% off anything (for personal purchase) in the store. A membership card will be produced, which can be used on all items – new bike, service, etc.
Store credit in the amount equal to race series season entry fee. (to be paid at the completion of 5 races)
New members – XC race club
We’d like to attain as many xc race club members as possible. XC team members race at least 5 races, club members race at least 2 events per summer. Benefits include kits (bibs and jerseys) at cost. 10% off on a new racing bike for the ’08 season.
Customer Referral/Cross bike competition –
The race team or club member that brings in the most new customers at the end of 08 will receive a new Rocky Mountain Cyclocross bike. Exact model will be determined at award, $1299 value. We’ll wait to purchase the bike until sizing is established, to see if there are new models avail, etc.
Other news – the new Yeti asr carbon will be available the first week of march, in small quantities. This is the best xc racer to come out in some time, and most of the bikes are presold, however STF did order a pretty decent order of these in order to get you your bikes before race season. Due to limited availability, the best way we can make sure that we get you this bike early (march rather than may), it’s best to put deposit down now, then you’ll be assured of getting the bike.
Team deal from rmb – Our reps from Rocky Mountain Bicycles are really bending over backwards for us this year and have presented the following offers to us.
Each team member (for personal ownership – not for brother in law) has the capability to purchase 1). 2008 Element 70 complete bike regularly priced at $3399 for $2850 or 2008 Element 50 regularly priced at $2499 for $2099. This offer is while supplies last, and all the bikes will ready in time for race season.
Also to team members – Rocky Mountain Bicycles and The SingleTrack Factory are offering great deals for xc team members that would include (depending on model) up to 20% off any other rocky bicycle including road bikes, cross bikes (sorry rich) freeride and DH bikes. If your signif other has been complaining that there aren’t enough bikes around the house, or if you want to start riding at Sol Vista, this is your opportunity.
Kit orders – please let me know via email how your 2007 kit (jerseys and shorts) is holding up – we are putting in a new order for 08 this week. I also had some feedback that the chamois in the bib short was not good – any other feedback?
STF offer to xc race team – Race team parts order in feb – If you email your wishlist for the 2008 race parts needs by 2/25/08, we will offer the race team parts at a 20% discount. This will be a one time order. This program was designed to help you defray your costs of racing for the 08 season. So, think of the parts we all know you will be using like cassettes, chainrings, chains, tires. Unfortunately, this does not include parts on a new build, and cannot be combined with any of the other offers listed above.
Spot Brand Bicycles now at STF! Yep, we picked up Spot brand – you know the belt drive 29er? Yep – we’ll have demo bikes here as soon as the snow melts.
